Breastfeeding Holds
There are many ways to hold your baby while breastfeeding. Finding what works best for you and your baby is what matters most. Click on the photo below to learn more about each breastfeeding hold.
Keep In Mind
- The best breastfeeding hold is one that feels best for you and your baby - and helps you get a good latch.
- What works well for one feeding may not work well for the next. Try different holds until you are comfortable.
- Use pillows under your arms, elbows, neck, or back to give you added comfort and support.
- Always raise your baby up to your nipple height, rather than leaning over your baby. This will make breastfeeding more comfortable and help your baby get a good latch.
